This popular checklist app for real estate agents on the go, and if you are a decent agent you are always on the go, is a real treat. It takes a special person, man or woman, and their mates, as well as their immediate family members to be be as flexible as possible, in all areas of life, for just about 24/7 for 365. I’ve met a few realtors here and there. They are very personable and do always seem to be off and running and hard to catch up with. I guess now a days with most of us have cell phones we are expected to be contacted right away by using just a few keystrokes on a quick and easy accessible keyboard.
I just had a flash back on the beepers that came out and grew in popularity in no time. If you had a beeper you were regarded as “well connected”. Funny how the whole beeper thing started out in the business world as a tool to keep in touch with employers and employees and how in a matter of no time flat everyone started getting, wearing and using a beeper. Back then there were car phones (or we called them mobile phones as well), but they were expensive and large and cumbersome to deal with. And then bada boom, bada bing cell phones came out and the whole world changed, right along with the ever growing use of the Internet.
All that brings me back to the goconnect app for realtor checklists that I was talking about. Ellen (my next door neighbor) is a real estate agent and she is a hoot and not really up on today’s technology! I couldn’t ask for a better friend/neighbor. I have had some pretty rotten neighbors in my time. As a matter of fact the neighbor on the right of our house and I don’t talk. We have had many issues with this old crazy man, but thank God for Ellen who lives on our left. She was showing me across the fence, which is were we spend a lot of time talking all the time, the realtor checklist app that she had just found and figured out how to use and benefit her needs and wants. She is very excited about the prospect of something available that she can actually figure out how to use and use it.
Ellen became a widow 9 years old and has a great out-look on life. She is a nice looking woman, for her age, and she is very encouraging and nurturing, and has a heart of gold. Ellen never had children but they always had several types of critters under their care. You never know what you will see when you go in her house, and her backyard is a beautiful, animal friendly, home to a variety of living creatures that she has rescued and taken care of. She is always looking for new homes for these animals. I fear she takes in way more than people take out.
If anyone deserves a break in their lives it is certainly our military personnel who have gone above and beyond and put their lives on the line for us all back home in the land of the free and the home of the brave, right? Most of us know or are related to someone who has or is serving our country, so we know how hard it is for them in so many ways, so any assistance that they are entitled to is a good thing. The Post 911 GI Bill is designed to help them in many ways, one of them being their education.
My brother-in-law is planning on taking advantage of this Post 911 GI Bill and is looking into taking some classes online with the well known Ashworth College that has a huge selection of online courses at very affordable prices. So along with their low prices combined with the benefits offered with the Post 911 GI Bill he should be go to go in a few years with a degree that will help him get a better job when his time is up in the military.
He is looking forward to taking classes online, which will be better than having to attend regular classes that would interfere with his very busy schedule on and off the base. I’m so proud of him and wish him all the luck in world in this challenge that will forever change his and my sister’s lives forever. I can’t wait for graduation, I’ll be the first one to be there to show my support and love for this man who my sister has placed so much trust in the last couple of years.
The pedal power 4×4 at musicians friend that I ordered last week came in today. I hope that my nephew will be impressed with this Voodoo Lab Pedal Power that he will find under the Christmas tree come Christmas morning. I wish that I could be there to see the look on his face. My sister has promised to take plenty of pictures to post on Facebook, so that will just have to do.
It’s a shame that my family just keeps on spreading out farther and farther with each passing year. I can’t image getting the whole family together for Christmas or Thanksgiving any time soon. I don’t think it would happen for a wedding either. And let us hope that we don’t have any funerals to find out how many would be able to attend.
When my 13 year old nephew stated at dinner over the weekend, that he was looking at a ButtKicker, I really thought that it was some type of exercise equipment. I had no idea that ButtKicker was the name of various musical pieces of equipment. I just can’t tell you how old I felt when I was put back into reality and told that I was totally uncool! Hmpf!
My folks came over for dinner and some card playing, something that we try to do every month or so. It seems the everyone is into trivia these days and my parents are no different. For some reason they were discussing people’s faces and they informed me that people’s ears never stop growing. That is reason that so many old people appear to have such large ears. The other face part that was being discussed what the issue that people’s eyes are the only parts of the body that never grow once being born. Guess I learned two things today. Don’t know what I am going to do with that information but I’ve got it stored away in case I need it some day.
