Just another brick in the wall, need I say more…
Wow the metronome that I remember using back when I was a kid taking piano lessons for the lady who lived on the corner of our street, sure look a whole lot different from the one that I was so determined to keep up with. I hated those piano lessons, but my mother insisted and for three long years once a week I marched myself down to the corner and really tried my best to do my parents proud, but it just wasn’t in the cards for me at that time. I would love to take piano lessons now but I don’t think my mother would consent to paying for them the way she did back then.
The metronome guitar center that resembles the one that I used, looks much like this one:
While the ones that are available and being used today look like this:
What a huge difference to get your tick tock on!
My oldest Uncle is turning 58 next week, and my family and I have pulled together a great family get together, to celebrate. My only concern was that I wouldn’t be able find a present in time, that could also fit my budget. Luckily my Aunt told me a few things he has been wanting for quit sometime. He owns a few accordions that he has had for many years now, and has been looking for an accordion backpack, to help him carry it comfortably with him when he travels. He loves to show his talents off around the world with these awesome instruments.
So I thought I would search the web a bit and see what I could find, and was so amazed to find a great website in so little time with exactly what I thought my Uncle would want and they promised to have it delivered in time for the big event. He opened his present up at his party our family threw for him, and I honestly have got to say my Uncle face lit up like Ive never seen it before. Not only was my Uncle extremely happy with his gift but my wallet is just as happy too.
My nephew, Billy, really has taken his time and put a lot of thought in to how he is going to spend the Christmas money that he has accumulated throughout the Christmas holiday season. Some people put some restrictions on what he could use their gift of either cash or gift cards, but I gave him the total freedom to do what he wanted to do with it, which works for both of us each year. I actually sent him money from my PayPal account to his PayPal account and he is using his PayPal account for more and more of his online purchases, I know that I rely on PayPal for a ton of transactions and more websites are accepting PayPal which is always a plus for me.
The karaoke music at Ace Karaoke, which is where Billy is doing some of his shopping at accepts PayPal, of course along with the other major credit cards. And I see that there is free shipping for orders over $99 – not sure if he is going to be spending that much there to be eligible for that freebie. Billy sent me the link to this karaoke music online store to show me what he was considering ordering from there, which I thought was nice of him.
He really is a good kid. I’m so glad that he is into music, all types of music, not just the junk that they are producing and playing these days. I like a variety of music and appreciate all types of music. So many teens get sucked into the music that all the other kids are listening to and what they are surrounded by and don’t give any other type of music a chance. Unless of course their parents listen only to country music, whether it be in the house and/or in the car, this kid will be at least exposed to a different type of music, which hopefully opens doors to other types of music. Music is Life and Life is Music.
So many buttons, switches and other necessary gadgets involved with this piece of equipment, the akai apc40 musicians friend that my sister sent me the picture and link to for me to check out as a possible Christmas gift for our kid brother. I swear I don’t think I could ever figure how what is what on this particular Performance Controller that our brother would really flip over if we (my sister and I) decide to go in together and get it for him. He has just started doing some D.J. work and wants to do more but lacks some of the equipment that would make this job easier and more fun along the way and my sister and I would be pleased to help him in any way that we possibly can. It’s all good little bro!
