It’s not too late to make plans to visit a beach. I wish that I could make a road trip like some of my friends and co workers have done. It seems that Myrtle Beach is the place to go this season. I’ve never been much of a golf player, Putt Putt is more my style, but I have several friends that are really into the game of golf and apparently Myrtle Beach has some really great golf courses close by that are well known and enjoyed all year round. I understand that Myrtle Beach is experiencing a booming business this year since the BP oil leak. Many beaches are not open due to the oil issue and people are flocking to South Carolina and their famous Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach has a lot to offer. I’m hoping that next year I might be able to take a 3 day weekend and go there. Something to plan for and save up for starting now.
The UPS guy should be dropping off the pet bed that I ordered online for my aging Pug, Scooter. The vet has recommended that I get Scooter this memory foam pet bed so that his aging and aching bones will find some type of relief from the arthritis that has been affecting him this past year or so.

My mother has invited me and my brother to go to Myrtle Beach South Carolina shortly after Labor Day for beach time and golfing. I’m all for that thank you very much. But she has asked me to research online the resorts for golf in Myrtle Beach since I have become so ”proficient using the Internet” as she puts it so nicely. There are plenty of Myrtle Beach golf courses to choose from, but ended up at this wonderful site that set me up with the much anticipated tee times and our lodging as well which worked out quite well. I’ve never been one to set up reservations and the like so it was a bit intimidating at first but in all actuality is was pretty darn easy compared with what I expected.

You would have to be living under a rock some where in the desert not to know that being “Green” is the buzz word these days. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for it. My parents were from the 70′s (the hippie days) and were very much in tune with environmental issues. So they raised us kids to be in tune with Mother Earth as much as possible. Recycling has always been a big issue then and it still is. I drive people crazy with my recycling issues, but that’s OK. I just want my kids, my grandchildren and their kids to have trees and clean water and clean air to breath well after I’m dead and gone.
