One of the bites that I got right after the Christmas holidays actually got to looking like a bull’s eye around it and I had to go to the E.R. for antibiotics in case the little critter was carrying Lyme Disease. I hate ticks.

The weather is been so wonderful this Spring, so now is the perfect time to get a job done like this. Between the three of us it shouldn’t take long at all and it is always good to be able to spend time with family members, especially my uncle, he is a trip, my favorite uncle indeed.

All they need now is some great patio furniture. Now that Christmas is over and done with we are all keeping our eyes and ears open for a good deal on some to pass along to them. I hope they realize just how much the rest of the family is excited about the pool and how much time they will be spending there. It’s a good thing we all get along so well, so it should be a hoot!

I’m told that you can find lessons online, so that will be my mission for the weekend. I plan on staying inside since the weather is supposed to be cold and nasty and I don’t want anything to do with any of that. So with my fireplace going and my Internet I’ll be good to go for the entire time.

It is supposed to be unusually warm this up coming week, but cloudy and rainy, but that is O.K. we really need the rain and it is better than being freezing cold and snowing!  I a so ready for spring, I am not a winter loving person at all.

I am looking forward to spring so that hubby and I can start preparing our veggie garden out in the backyard again.  Last year wasn’t the greatest, we learned a lot from it and hope that we will do much better and that our harvest will much more plentiful.  My favorite was the cantaloupes, they take up a lot of space in the garden, but if we do it right this year it will be wonderful.

I however like to add a shot of Captain Morgan’s 100% proof Spiced Rum, along with a cinnamon stick, which I add for the flavor and to use to stir the mixture with also. It makes for a wonderful winter beverage that will certainly put a smile on your face and warm your insides at the same time.

Snow guards help slow down the ice and snow in a controlled manner instead of a sudden avalanche that cause case damage to so many things. A good friend and neighbor used them and now every one on the block wants them before the snow starts falling. So the street is all a buzz about all the work going on and who is getting what done and what color, etc……. It’s a nice old neighborhood that we were lucky enough to grow up on and my folks plan on staying there as long as possible and keeping the place up the best that they can in their golden years.
