Well I just the got news that the semi annual Payton family reunion is being planned for next spring and that our Payton family members in this area are going to be in charge of it. I’m not sure why we just found out about it, that doesn’t give us much time to get everything done for an event of this size and magnitude. We usually have over 200 family members attend these functions. That is a lot of people to plan for and try and accommodate, looks like we have our work cut out for us, sigh. . .
The good news is that there is a way to use a program that is available online at Eventish.com that will make a lot of the work a much easier task to tackle and I’m anxious to check it out and see what that is all about. Lord knows we are going to need all the help that we can get at this point. I have no idea on how to even get started on something like this. I have always enjoys these reunions and always look forward to seeing all the family that we never would get to see if we didn’t have these wonderful functions.
I’ve been thinking about Christmas and what I am going to do about getting presents for the family. Things have been very tight for every one this year, much like last year and the year before, sigh. One thing that I think my folks would like would be a membership to the Good Sam Club which offers a great rv travel emergency package. My parents have owned a RV for many years and are always hitting the road to some where when they feel the urge and it would make me feel much better if I were to know that if they ran into trouble on the road that they would be taken care of. My Dad isn’t getting any younger and isn’t always able to fix things the way that he used to.
Guess I shouldn’t be surprised that you can find just about anything that you need to about Moving Companies and get quick and easy Moving Quotes on the Internet. I mean it used to be that you had to rely on word of mouth or the good old fashioned Yellow Pages that have become just about obsolete for most businesses and people alike with the growing popularity of the World Wide Web. I know that I toss any paper versions of phone books that I receive right into the recycling bin.
My neighbor has went and sold her house and was asking me if I knew of any Movers that I could recommend and when I drew a blank she went online and find the perfect Moving Services within a matter of minutes and she couldn’t to show me what she came up with. I hate to see her go, we have become quite close in the couple of years that we were neighbors, having a good neighbor can make or break you, if you know what I mean. I can only hope and pray that who ever moves in after she is packed and gone is half the good neighbor as she turned out to be.
Right after the hurricane the word on the street (and on the news) was that the price of gas was going to drop because so many flights had been cancelled and so many folks were not driving so that there was a huge supply of gas not being tapped into. Of course when this happens they have to lower the cost, you know the whole supply and demand thing. But you could have fooled me on this since around here the price of gas just went up by ten cents a gallon!
I love seeing more and more of the cars that I grew up around coming back in style. My first car was a 1967 Ford Mustang, so I have always had a soft spot for the Mustang and I can’t believe how many of them (old and new) I am seeing on the roads. I would love to own another Ford Mustang, of course it would have to be a used model since a new one is totally out of my financial reach at this point.
Because we are all staying close to home due to the hurricane threat I’m sure a lot of folks will be spending time online this weekend, just like me. I have just finished reading a most interesting blog that I found at http://www.tampa-used-cars.com. Since I have had my own blog for some time now I can relate to how important a well written blog can be and I can appreciate how helpful they can be. Since I haven’t owned a Mustang in a very long time I wanted to see what is being said about the newer Mustang models and their blog has been very informative as well as plenty of videos which is very cool.
I love how the Internet makes looking at new and used cars so much easier than running from dealership to dealership all around town. You can find everything that you need right here at this used car dealer in Tampa Florida and then trek on over there for the test drive, which is always the most exciting part for me. I don’t think many people will be heading out for test drives over the next couple of days until hurricane Irene is all over and done with, actually from what I hear the majority of businesses have temporarily shut down for the weekend.
Isn’t it wonderful how you can go online and find things for your vehicle so easily? My kid brother has a Jeep that he just recently bought and dearly loves and he is now looking for some Jeep Parts and since he isn’t really into computers he has asked me to help in locate the Jeep bumpers and the Jeep Decals that he has been looking for on my computer. Funny how some people are still resisting all that the Internet has to offer. As long as we don’t lose power over the weekend because of the hurricane I’ll be spending most of my time this weekend on the computer as there won’t be much else to do and I don’t mind helping the little twit out.
What a wacky weather week we are having, first we had the earthquake and now we are expecting a major hurricane. We haven’t been to the beach but once this summer, so we were planning on going this weekend since the following weekend is Labor Day and the beach is the last place we want to be on that major holiday that is always jammed packed with people enjoying the last weekend of the summer season.
I’ve known that whitehall address plaques have the best selection and a variety of prices but of course me being me I had to check it out for myself and see what I could find using the Internet for all that it is worth and meant for. I really want one of the nice looking custom address plaques that a lot of my neighbors are having made up and installed. I’ve talked with several of them and they all have told me the same thing that whitehallis the way to go, most interesting, I had no idea that whitehall had such a reputation.
The need for better residential address plaques has been a topic of conversation around the neighborhood for some time now ever since we all most lost Mr. and Mrs. Blackwell last year due to the personalized address plaques that they had on their home that wasn’t placed in the best place for the ambulance driver to see it and there was a major hassle that cost them a lot of valuable time that could have been used to try and help stabilize both of these poor people that were both having medical issues that required the EMTs assistance.
So I have found a great website at justaddressplaques.com that has some of the nicest bronze address plaques that I’ve seen around and since no one else has a bronze address plaque I plan on being the first and I’ve placed my order and should be receiving it in short order. I’m pleased with myself right now with a job well done.
