Outer Banks Real Estate For Sale

One of my favorite places to visit is North Carolina and since my best friend lives down there I get a few opportunities a year to go down there for fun filled visits with her and her family. Her parents are are currently checking out various outer banks real estate for sale and I really, really hope that they really do take the plunge and buy some property in that wonderful area. What fun we could have there. I love the water and I know that I would have an open invitation there whenever I wanted to come and enjoy all that it has to offer.

YouTube is full of funny videos featuring little old ladies. I wish the quality of this one was better, but it is still a good funny old lady video that deserves being posted here today. My sister sent me this one along with a few other little old lady videos that she had a good laugh at. This one is my favorite.

New Year’s

Not doing anything special for New Year’s Eve this year. I haven’t really felt like going out on New Year’s Eve for the past few years. There are way too many drunks out on the road and I’m just not ready to chance it. I used to watch Dick Clark each year but he isn’t even making appearances these days, although his name is still being used to promote the show, sigh….

The Up Dating of Maps

The way that they are constantly changing the names of countries it would be hard to keep up with the job of being a mapmaker these days. But I guess that it would be good job security though. I am pretty familiar with the globe and what is where, and who belongs to who, but sometimes I’m really thrown for a loop about some places. This time stemming from a conversation at work with a buddy who is planning a unique vacation for his family this summer vacation season. He has had enough of Disney World and the typical family style get-a-ways that they have fallen into the routine of, so he has gone online and has spent a good amount of time researching to come up with The Great British Holiday at Butlins Minehead.

The Roads That We Travel

Interstate Hassles

On the way home from work this afternoon I had to take an alternative route home. It appears that a major wreak happened on the Interstate, a hit and run and at least one person was killed. What a mess to deal with on a Monday at the end of a long hard day at work.

Tire and Locker Issues Today

Today was a rough day for just about everyone in the family. I got a flat tire and didn’t have the correct jack or lug wrench in the car to fix it with. And then all I had was one of those doughnut tires to put on that are only good for about 50 miles or so.Thank goodness for a truck driver that was close by came to my rescue and he got me squared away so that I could take the car to Firestone so that they could get a new tire on the rim for me to pick up in the morning.

My daughter had even a worse day than the one I had. She had her wallet stolen at her new job. The have employee lockers but no locks that the employees can use, so they are responsible for getting their own locks and are pretty much out of luck until they do. So these commercial lockers that the new employees are using are an invitation to the other folks that work there to go into the unsecured lockers and have a field day. I can tell you that I’m none to happy with that piece of information.

Vacation Needs

Do you remember how you had to rely on a travel agency in order to find all the information needed for your vacation needs and wants. Times sure have changed since the Internet has come into our lives. For example to find out about vacation rentals all one has to do is go online and take a bit of their time and everything you ever need to know is right there in front of your face, quick and easy like. Oh how I love the World Wide Web! I’ll bet travel agencies aren’t so happy about it though.

What’s Up With Texas

Friends may come and friends may go, be damn do they have to go so quickly. It seems that my good friend Shannon just moved back here from Texas, the Houston area, and all of a sudden she is looking at Dallas Real Estate and Dallas Homes For Sale, back down in the great state of Texas. I know that she spent the first 11 years of her life there but all of her family is up here now, so I’m not really sure what keeps taking her back that far away and has her looking at Dallas Homes for Sale. Even her kids are up around here, although they aren’t little any more, but still.

These days people are so transit, friends and family members are always having to say good bye, while watching their loved ones move away. I really think that has a lot to do with family not connecting the way that they used to. I grew up on a street that had numerous relatives living all up and down that road, it was an awesome way to grow up, it’s too bad times like that have totally changed.

ZZ Top Rules

I haven’t heard any ZZ Top in so long, but yesterday on the radio they played this song “Gimme All Your Lovin” and man did it have me rocking on down the highway. So I couldn’t wait to get home and head straight to my laptop and get on YouTube.com and find some of their videos.
