Yesterday turned out to be a pleasant enough day outside. I got to enjoy it in many parking lots, walking from my car into the stores and back again. My son joined me and we managed to spend some good one on one time with each other, he got use some of his gift certificates that he got for his birthday last week and we even stopped at the park so he got to play on the new playground equipment for a good while. I sat at the newly installed Picnic Tables, which are a bit more comfortable then the hard Park Benches that have been there for way too long and I got to read a little more of my book and he got to use up some energy on the playground.
It is supposed to be unusually warm this up coming week, but cloudy and rainy, but that is O.K. we really need the rain and it is better than being freezing cold and snowing! I a so ready for spring, I am not a winter loving person at all.
I am looking forward to spring so that hubby and I can start preparing our veggie garden out in the backyard again. Last year wasn’t the greatest, we learned a lot from it and hope that we will do much better and that our harvest will much more plentiful. My favorite was the cantaloupes, they take up a lot of space in the garden, but if we do it right this year it will be wonderful.
I have always wanted a Telescope. I remember putting Telescopes on my Christmas wish list each year and never woke up once on a Christmas morning to find one under the tree. I gave up asking for one years ago, but I’m thinking that this year I just might start asking again, stranger things have been known to happen.
I have been getting some inquiries from some family members as to what I plan to do this year for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is always a mad house trying to figure out who is doing what and who is going where, kinda takes a lot of the fun and excitement out of the holidays trying to keep everyone happy and keeping feelings from being hurt. I’ve also been asked for gift suggestions from a few but have had to say that I really didn’t have any at this point. But now I know that I can ask for one of the nice dobsonian telescopes that I’ve been looking at on a site that has the most wonderful and affordable telescopes for sale at Skiesunlimited.net.
A friend sent me this last night, it’s one of those that you don’t know is fact or fiction, but it certainly is a curiosity.
During a private “fly-in” fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler and bait in the plane. And a bear smelled it. This is what he did to the plane.
The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic. He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME!!!

I’ve been thinking about Christmas and what I am going to do about getting presents for the family. Things have been very tight for every one this year, much like last year and the year before, sigh. One thing that I think my folks would like would be a membership to the Good Sam Club which offers a great rv travel emergency package. My parents have owned a RV for many years and are always hitting the road to some where when they feel the urge and it would make me feel much better if I were to know that if they ran into trouble on the road that they would be taken care of. My Dad isn’t getting any younger and isn’t always able to fix things the way that he used to.
I’m so glad to hear that the movement that has been growing to make more girl games available for the young female population of online game players has finally made a difference. I know that while I was growing up it was a real pain in the rear to try and find games that would appeal to girls like me, except maybe Ms. Pac Man, and how many times can you play that without going totally out of your mind?
The other day I ran across a site http://www.easygirlgames.comthat was jammed pack full of girlie girl games like, dating games, kissing games, make-up games, dress up games, make over games, fashion games, cooking games and games for Barbies and Bratz lovers as well, which I thought was pretty darned cool. I have a niece that just turned 11 last month that I sent an email to with the link to this site in case she wasn’t aware of it all ready. She is a good kid, an only child that spends a lot of time on her laptop and loves playing games so I hope that she will enjoy the huge variety of these girl games that they have listed there for girls just like her.
