Today was opening day for baseball. I love baseball, but would prefer to watch this all American sport live rather than on the television. One has to experience all that going to a real game has to offer. The smells, the people, the excitement, it’s all good clean fun.
Sunday’s are the best day of the week, a relaxing morning to sleep in on, a slow puttering about the house and the preparation of Sunday dinner is an on going thing throughout the day, usually using the slow cooker to produce the most wonderful aroma’s just enough to make your stomach wanting to eat much earlier than the designated time frame for the day.
Today a nice pot roast is simmering away with carrots, potatoes and beef broth, with plenty of salts and peppers to make it so nicely seasoned for maximum taste quality. It should be ready in time for the scheduled game between Washington and Philadelphia that is on later this afternoon. Should be a good game, I know the food will be good.
