Knowing that you don’t have to go to a doctor’s office and be charged the high fees that go along with today’s doctor’s appointment, to have a variety of blood testing done really floats my boat. Consumer driven healthcare is an up and coming effort that makes having these options available to us here, all across the country. The idea of giving my nephew a gift certificate for his birthday is becoming more and more appealing as I wonder around online looking at the type of street wear that he has requested for clothes this year. This is the first year that his “wish list” didn’t revolve around all the video games that he spends so much of his gaming with, so clothes are a fresh gift idea for him that I’m trying to run with. But I’m afraid that I’m just way too out of the loop in today’s trendy boy’s (I should really say young man, he is turning 16 this year) clothing in order to make a wise selection. So that is what gift cards all about out it seems and it seems to me that this situation requires just that.

My sister-in-law is so thrilled with the dickies scrubs that I bought and gave to her on Christmas, so much that she just sent me a nice flower arrangement of the prettiest “spring time” flowers that are just perfect for this time of the year. Today was a perfect first day of spring. I throw open all the windows and doors in the house and enjoyed a nice cool spring breeze while also enjoying the thoughtful thank you flower arrangement from a great gal.
I’m glad to hear that my step-father is enjoying the millermatic welder that my brother and sister and I pooled our resources together to give to him for his birthday yesterday. My mother called to say that he had spent most of the day out in his shop playing (if you can call welding playing) with it, only to come it once for lunch before heading back out for more. It isn’t easy finding something that floats my step-father’s boat on gift giving occasion so this idea was a stroke of genius that my kid brother deserves a pat on the back for thinking of. Beats the heck out of the socks, slippers and ties that the old man is used to getting from us throughout the years.

I’m really not that type of guy that is into mens skin care all I do is shave, but I’ve been noticing that my skin isn’t getting any younger and some of my friends that are much older than me are starting to look younger and healthier than me. That is a hard pill to swallow and it has me thinking of starting some type of skin care regiment. I’d like to do a bit of research, ask a few friends and maybe a family member or two and get some feed back on various products and then make a decision on what to purchase.
