Been spending the afternoon online, looking at a few last minute gift ideas. My brother-in-law is in need for some decent abrasives, he is into metal work, big time, so I’d like to be able to get him something that he can really use. I hate spending money on generic gifts, if I’m going to get some one a gift I really want it to be a good one. So I’m thinking some abrasives would be right on target this year.

It has been a long time coming but my brother-in-law is finally consenting to having the discectomy done on his back that he has been needing for several years now. There just isn’t any other options out there for him at this point. The doctors have tried everything in their power to ease the extreme pain in his back, hips and legs. They have done wonders with this new minimally invasive surgical procedure and we are all excited about the prospect of this discectomy making it possible for him to live a better quality of life here real soon.

Oh Happy Day!

One subject that I am going to discuss with my mother and my sister is the issue of colon cleansing, I am hearing more and more about it and I believe that they have tried it and I what to hear the stories and opinion before I go and purchase anything. I have been reading up some on the subject and have talked to a few people here and there and they all swear that a good Colon Cleanse can make a big difference in a lot of areas that I am struggling in, like sleep issues, no energy, stomach aches, back aches, foul breath and a lot of this things I’m blaming on menopause. But I’m thinking that if I can do something about these things that are driving me crazy with a good cleansing product, like Oxy-Powder, I’m thinking it would be worth it. If I do decide to buy some I will do it on-line, that is a sure bet.

Had to laugh at tonight’s email from my mother of which she informs me to “send your parents this“  in which she provided me with a picture and the link to a website that sells the most amazing looking Berries and other edible goodies in gift baskets for all kinds of occasions. Since Christmas is right around the corner I am assuming that she is wanting this particular Cheesecake Trio and Full Dozen Giant Dipped Fancy Berries as one of her presents this year.

Doesn’t this look wonderful? I’ll have to order one for myself as well…..

This year’s Thanksgiving dinner celebration is going to be different from previous ones. My mother usually hosts these holiday functions at the old homestead, but this year my brother’s daughter has volunteered to have Thanksgiving at her new town house. We were afraid that my mother might be upset with this but she seems grateful that she won’t have to do both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, since it is a lot of hard work for her to tackle each and every year. So we will see how it all works out come next Thursday afternoon.

My folks are looking into purchasing R. H. Peterson Real Fyre Gas Logs that we have been hearing so much about. So they have been doing their research online and finding out a good deal of information that they didn’t even think about, so I’m grateful for the Internet bringing them this important information to them before they dish out their hard earned money for nothing or for something that they don’t understand. Information like whether or not they want Vented Gas Logs or Ventless Gas Logs.

At hansenwholesale.com they found a great page full of Gas Log FAQs that they found to be useful and funny. Funny enough for them to send me the link to this particular list of questions that I want to post here. Pay attention to the last two, I wasn’t expecting this from them. LOL

Introduction to Gas Logs

The first thing that you need to know about Gas Logs is that there are a lot of questions that need to be answered before you can even begin searching for the right logs. Questions such as -

Do you want vented or ventless logs?

Are you burning natural gas or propane?

Do you want a remote control?

Do you want your remote control to turn the logs on and off or to adjust the flame…or to have a thermostat?

What type of fireplace do you have…masonry, prefabricated, ventless?

What are the measurements of your fireplace (Front Width, Back Width and Depth)?

Are there any building codes you need to be aware of?

Are the gas logs you’ve seen online even legal in your city?

Do you care?

Are you having a nice day?

The point is, when most consumers begin shopping around for gas logs, they do not know what questions to ask and many people end up buying a gas log set that may not be right for their fireplace and may even be unsafe. To avoid making any mistakes, we urge you to call and talk to one of our gas log experts who will help you choose the right type of gas logs for your fireplace that will not only look the best in your fireplace, but be safe for your home and perform beyond your expectations.

Friends may come and friends may go, be damn do they have to go so quickly. It seems that my good friend Shannon just moved back here from Texas, the Houston area, and all of a sudden she is looking at Dallas Real Estate and Dallas Homes For Sale, back down in the great state of Texas. I know that she spent the first 11 years of her life there but all of her family is up here now, so I’m not really sure what keeps taking her back that far away and has her looking at Dallas Homes for Sale. Even her kids are up around here, although they aren’t little any more, but still.

These days people are so transit, friends and family members are always having to say good bye, while watching their loved ones move away. I really think that has a lot to do with family not connecting the way that they used to. I grew up on a street that had numerous relatives living all up and down that road, it was an awesome way to grow up, it’s too bad times like that have totally changed.

I have always wanted a Telescope. I remember putting Telescopes on my Christmas wish list each year and never woke up once on a Christmas morning to find one under the tree. I gave up asking for one years ago, but I’m thinking that this year I just might start asking again, stranger things have been known to happen.

I have been getting some inquiries from some family members as to what I plan to do this year for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is always a mad house trying to figure out who is doing what and who is going where, kinda takes a lot of the fun and excitement out of the holidays trying to keep everyone happy and keeping feelings from being hurt. I’ve also been asked for gift suggestions from a few but have had to say that I really didn’t have any at this point. But now I know that I can ask for one of the nice dobsonian telescopes that I’ve been looking at on a site that has the most wonderful and affordable telescopes for sale at Skiesunlimited.net.
