My mother has invited me and my brother to go to Myrtle Beach South Carolina shortly after Labor Day for beach time and golfing. I’m all for that thank you very much. But she has asked me to research online the resorts for golf in Myrtle Beach since I have become so ”proficient using the Internet” as she puts it so nicely. So I have been spending some time the last couple of hours for golf packages in Myrtle Beach.
I had no idea how many resorts there are in today’s Myrtle Beach, but I think that I have found one that might interest my folks at ttimesonly.com/ where I see that they are offering good prices and some interesting golf packages. So I’m shooting my mom an email with the link provided and we will see what thinks about my choice. Little did I know that she also asked my brother to take some time and do the same thing. I’m quite curious to see what he comes up with.
It will be great to go to the beach, play some golf and spend time with my kid brother and my folks, it’s been too long since we have had some time to do something like this. Thanks mom!
Wow the metronome that I remember using back when I was a kid taking piano lessons for the lady who lived on the corner of our street, sure look a whole lot different from the one that I was so determined to keep up with. I hated those piano lessons, but my mother insisted and for three long years once a week I marched myself down to the corner and really tried my best to do my parents proud, but it just wasn’t in the cards for me at that time. I would love to take piano lessons now but I don’t think my mother would consent to paying for them the way she did back then.

School Lockers aren’t something that many of us think about after leaving high school. But I went to see one of my younger cousins in a summer school play that was held at one of the local middle schools last night and noticed how the Lockers have changed since my days in school. I know that I got bigger so things like that should look smaller, but my goodness these Lockers where tiny. I can’t imagine how these kids cram all the things that they need into these small areas. I mean during the winter you have a coat, boots, scarfs, etc. not to mention the book bag and all of the books and supplies that are needed to be stored in there.
We used to have Wood Lockers as our Gym Locker, now they were small, but you didn’t have to keep much in those. Good thing because they didn’t smell very good, but they served their purpose. I don’t think that kids even use those Gym Lockers anymore, they don’t have to dress out like we did, nor do they require them to shower after gym. What’s up with that? I’ll bet these middle schools don’t smell very good, I feel sorry the teachers that have to smell those hormonal monsters each and every day. Especially right after gym.
For Father’s Day this year; my little sister has written a poem for our Dad, it’s a keeper. It is such a good piece of work that she has decided to put it on the Internet and present it to our Dad on his lap top come Sunday. Father’s Day is always on a Sunday. In order to do that she needs to choose a web hosting provider and get a web site up and running, one that she intends on keeping on with writing her poetry on. She has got a talent for writing and I think that this is a wonderful idea, one that I totally support.

I on the other hand give my dad the same thing each and every year, a box of cigars. I mix it up each time and have never bought him the same kind twice. He always enjoys the anticipation that comes along with seeing what kind of cigars discount I have come up with. This year it is a sampler, which I think is always welcomed and appreciated. My parents have just recently purchased one of the Toyota Hybrids, and they couldn’t be happier with it. They had been needing a new vehicle for a few years but were taking their time educating themselves on what make and model would be the perfect choice and finally decided on their Prius.
