The amount of home invasions and burglaries is increasing at an alarming rate. The economy is driving people to do random acts of violence in order to provide for themselves and their families. Alarm systems are being installed left and right in an effort to keep break ins to a minimum. Scary times here folks!
Next month I will be free and clear with my current cell phone provider. I’ve been stuck in a two year contract that I wish that I had never committed to and can’t wait to get out from under Verizon’s thumb once and for all. I’ve got some researching to do in order to find myself a sweet deal to sign up with.
Today my sister is celebrating her birthday. I wish she could spend the day doing everything fun and nice for herself to pamper her body and relax the mind. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful way to start the next year of your life?
It is unfortunate that she doesn’t have that luxury, what with the economic times we are all in plus the fact that her hubby was hurt in a car wreck all most two years ago and can’t work until he recovers. So it was off to work she goes, and her dinner plans include Chinese take out that she picks up on her way home from work. So at least she doesn’t have to cook.

I’ve heard that there are companies out there that are willing to pay you to blog. This is something that I’d be interested in finding more information about. I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
Long story short, my car was towed to the darned garage this am, $60 just like that, badda boom, badda bing, and the mechanic won’t even be able to look at the darn thing until Monday. I was informed that it doesn’t look good and that my car would most likely be out of commission for several days and I’m sure to the tune of some major bucks! This really bites!
With the holiday weekend right around the bend, I need and want my car on the road and running!
