It has been a long time coming but my brother-in-law is finally consenting to having the discectomy done on his back that he has been needing for several years now. There just isn’t any other options out there for him at this point. The doctors have tried everything in their power to ease the extreme pain in his back, hips and legs. They have done wonders with this new minimally invasive surgical procedure and we are all excited about the prospect of this discectomy making it possible for him to live a better quality of life here real soon.

Oh Happy Day!

The way that they are constantly changing the names of countries it would be hard to keep up with the job of being a mapmaker these days. But I guess that it would be good job security though. I am pretty familiar with the globe and what is where, and who belongs to who, but sometimes I’m really thrown for a loop about some places. This time stemming from a conversation at work with a buddy who is planning a unique vacation for his family this summer vacation season. He has had enough of Disney World and the typical family style get-a-ways that they have fallen into the routine of, so he has gone online and has spent a good amount of time researching to come up with The Great British Holiday at Butlins Minehead.

Thought that I would be smart and hit a couple of stores at the mall tonight on my way home tonight, thinking that it wouldn’t be crowded on a Wednesday evening. The crowds were minimal but what got me was the lack of customer service that I received tonight and that really irks me. To make matters worse the one store that I wanted to purchase three separate items from was having issues with their POS system so I had to put back 2 of the items since I didn’t have enough cash on me to be able to pay for all of them. It’s terrible how we all rely so much on these plastic cards these days and how lost we are without the use of them.

One subject that I am going to discuss with my mother and my sister is the issue of colon cleansing, I am hearing more and more about it and I believe that they have tried it and I what to hear the stories and opinion before I go and purchase anything. I have been reading up some on the subject and have talked to a few people here and there and they all swear that a good Colon Cleanse can make a big difference in a lot of areas that I am struggling in, like sleep issues, no energy, stomach aches, back aches, foul breath and a lot of this things I’m blaming on menopause. But I’m thinking that if I can do something about these things that are driving me crazy with a good cleansing product, like Oxy-Powder, I’m thinking it would be worth it. If I do decide to buy some I will do it on-line, that is a sure bet.

I have a good friend who was widowed last year due to a freak accident. She is still young and vital, and after a lengthy mourning period she’s decided to start dating again. I am totally behind her on this decision – she needs to meet some new guys and get out of the house and have a good life. She called last night to chat about her online dating experiences – or lack of them. She hasn’t had a date yet.

Now, she’s a good person and is admittedly looking for a husband replacement, not just a casual sexual encounter every weekend. So some of the Internet dating sites are just not appropriate for her. I don’t think she realized the importance of finding the right free online dating sites so I’m gonna start looking around and asking questions myself and see what I can come up with and find out about as well.

With winter on it’s way, my folks are looking at purchasing and having installed some snow guards (also known as, snow brackets, snow stops, snow birds, snow dogs, as well as snow retention devices) on their house’s roof. Last year there were several injuries reported in the local paper from people having snow or ice fall on them. That would really suck, death by icicle! But I know that it can happen. We have all heard the horror stories at some point in our life time of icicles doing serious damage to some one some where, right?

Snow guards help slow down the ice and snow in a controlled manner instead of a sudden avalanche that cause case damage to so many things. They are becoming a big hit with homeowners all over the country where they have snow fall and you can find some good deals on them on the Internet. Snoshield.com is who my folks are going with. A good friend and neighbor used them and now every one on the block wants them before the snow starts falling. So the street is all a buzz about all the work going on and who is getting what done and what color, etc……. It’s a nice old neighborhood that we were lucky enough to grow up on and my folks plan on staying there as long as possible and keeping the place up the best that they can in their golden years.

Getting up early tomorrow and accompanying a friend to a Trade Show that he has signed up for in order to try and drum up some business for his mail and packaging store that has not been doing very well these past couple of years. Trade Shows are a great way to market any type of business and a great net working opportunity as well. I’ll be helping him set up and take down as well as handing out the challenge coins that he had made up with his companies logo embedded on to use as give a ways for occasions just like this. It should be an interesting day, haven’t been to a Trade Show in some time and I look forward to coming home with a bag full of promotional items that are always given away so freely during these events.

My folks are looking into purchasing R. H. Peterson Real Fyre Gas Logs that we have been hearing so much about. So they have been doing their research online and finding out a good deal of information that they didn’t even think about, so I’m grateful for the Internet bringing them this important information to them before they dish out their hard earned money for nothing or for something that they don’t understand. Information like whether or not they want Vented Gas Logs or Ventless Gas Logs.

At hansenwholesale.com they found a great page full of Gas Log FAQs that they found to be useful and funny. Funny enough for them to send me the link to this particular list of questions that I want to post here. Pay attention to the last two, I wasn’t expecting this from them. LOL

Introduction to Gas Logs
