I had the misfortune of getting several ticks on my body over the last year. Man, are they a real pain to deal with. The last one was several months ago and it is still swollen up and itching like crazy. Nothing makes it feel better than my finger nails raking over it most of the day and all throughout the night.

One of the bites that I got right after the Christmas holidays actually got to looking like a bull’s eye around it and I had to go to the E.R. for antibiotics in case the little critter was carrying Lyme Disease. I hate ticks.

It looks like I’ll be spending next weekend helping my brother and my uncle put down the new patio floor that has been needing a do over for several years now. Since my uncle’s motorcycle accident, three years ago, he hasn’t been able to do so much of the things that he is used to doing and need to be done around his house and yard, so we are happy to go over and help him as much as possible.

The weather is been so wonderful this Spring, so now is the perfect time to get a job done like this. Between the three of us it shouldn’t take long at all and it is always good to be able to spend time with family members, especially my uncle, he is a trip, my favorite uncle indeed.

Consumer driven healthcare is an up and coming effort that makes having these options available to us here, all across the country. My brother is having blood testing washington dc work done concerning his liver that we believe is causing him health issues at his early age of 34. Bad livers run in the family and of course just like any other health issue, the sooner you address it, the better off you are, so I’m glad that he is finding a way to get this done now.

I suppose I should go see the doctor and get a prescription while I still have a job with health benefits. One never knows what tomorrow will bring, as far as employment goes. We are all a bit on edge at work.

If you know me at all either from here on my ramblings on this blog or in real life up and personal like then you know how I feel about the recycling issue that is such a hot topic these days. I grew up with parents from the Woodstock hippie generation and was brought up with recycling becoming second nature in life. I have a habit of getting on my soap box at times about people being too lazy to participate in even the simplest recycling effort. And I’ve implemented many a recycling programs in places that I’ve worked out all of my life.

Tonight was the first night of the new TV show on CNBC called “The Secret Life of Garbage” and I’m so glad to see that this trash issue is being addressed on national TV. Did you know that 80% of the trash that we throw out could be recycled and that only 28% of our trash ends up in the recycling bins. That is an outrageous percentage folks, we could be doing so much better than that!

I’m really not that type of guy that is into mens skin care all I do is shave, but I’ve been noticing that my skin isn’t getting any younger and some of my friends that are much older than me are starting to look younger and healthier than me. That is a hard pill to swallow and it has me thinking of starting some type of skin care regiment. I’d like to do a bit of research, ask a few friends and maybe a family member or two and get some feed back on various products and then make a decision on what to purchase.

My recent reading of a few of the provided C’elle Client Testimonial pages that I found online, gives some interesting insight to the very controversial issue of Stem Cell Research that I have found is now available to the public and is helping saves lives every day and hopefully will continue for many generations ahead of us.I have found that C’elle is now making it possible for a woman to collect these precious stem cells at home. By going online to the web site of celle.com, you are given the opportunity to order a private and discreet Fed Ex delivered, collection kit that has everything that a woman needs to easily, pain free, safely and in the privacy of being at home, collect and preserve the necessary fluid from and during her monthly menstrual period blood.

Imagine what wonderful things that technology has in mind for these harvested vital stem cells, the possibilities are endless, not only for ones self, but others in her immediate family as well. The possibility of finding the key to treat many diseases like – Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s disease, Heart disease, Osteoporosis, Strokes, even Cosmeceutical with things like anti-aging therapies, and I must mention many sports medicines, as well, would benefit from this revolutionary process that I have been reading about on the Internet.

All of the hard work and rushing around paid off for this year’s Christmas with the family. My favorite gift today were the yoga mats that my brother and his new bride picked out for me. They knew what I wanted and made sure that I got exactly that. They enjoyed the video camera that I gave to them as well. It works out so much better when you communicate and get people things that really want and/or need instead of some crappy generic gift that will most likely be re-gifted at the first opportunity.

It has been a long time coming but my brother-in-law is finally consenting to having the discectomy done on his back that he has been needing for several years now. There just isn’t any other options out there for him at this point. The doctors have tried everything in their power to ease the extreme pain in his back, hips and legs. They have done wonders with this new minimally invasive surgical procedure and we are all excited about the prospect of this discectomy making it possible for him to live a better quality of life here real soon.
