There sure seems to be a lot on TV these days pertaining to weddings, big weddings, big expensive weddings. This just blows my mind. In times when people are losing their jobs, their homes and many things that we have worked hard for and have enjoyed up until our government screwed up things and the economy is in crisis, that people are out there spending tens and thousands of dollars on a wedding that lasts one whole day.

Honestly I don’t think that I could do something like while there are people out there in such desperate circumstances. Bad karma.

It looks like I’ll be attending the Non Profit Human Resources Conference over the weekend of October 9 – 11 with my buddy Charley who is looking into a nonprofit career in the Washington D.C. area. He is paying for the trip and the conference, along with all the other expenses other than any souvenirs or nick knacks that I decide I can’t live without taking back home from our Nation’s Capitol. Since I don’t have a lot of money to throw around these days I don’t see an issue with me filling up with car on the way back home with too much stuff, but apparently Charley doesn’t see it that way. Charley has known me for a very long time and still holds memories of days gone by when we both had more than enough money to splurge on frivolous things such as souvenirs.

He has been looking at nonprofit jobs for some time now and has found several non profit jobs online on some of the websites that cater to the non profit employers and job seekers that do a good job of matching up the two, unfortunately he just hasn’t matched up to anything that has “floated his boat” as he is so good at saying. At least he is working right now and it isn’t a crisis, but he is anxious and his current job is getting under his skin more often than not and I hate to see him so miserable so many times during week, always about something going on at work.

It might just come to applying for one of the payday loans online that I’ve been hearing about the past few years since the economy fell straight into the toilet bowl. And I’m very saddened about the fact that it seems that someone has attempted to flush the darn thing and didn’t jiggle the handle, so now we are stuck hearing the water running. Wow, that felt good letting that out, and believe me I could have gone on, actually I did, but I ended up erasing it before I really got off track.

Guess you could say that I’ve had a rough kind of day. I am so upset about the fact that so many of my lenders have gotten hold of my cell phone number. As fast as I can block their number, they come up with another one and another one and another one…..I’ve gotten tired of that time consuming game. I don’t mind them calling, but not my cell phone. I don’t have all that many minutes on my current plan, time is money and I seem to have run out of both about now.

I really wanted to pay off a couple of my credit cards with my tax refund this year. I managed to sent a chunk of it in, but there were other things that I needed and a few things that I really wanted that some of the money went to. But that seems to be the way to go each year when Uncle Sam pays me the money that he had used for free all year, plus some. The cash never lasts long and I know that it will be there (hopefully) next year.

Anyway, I really and interested in getting some things under control so I spent some time looking at the various options out there to be utilized via the Internet. So of course payday loans online can be 100% processed online. These short term loans are helping a lot of people these days and I want to deal with one that the process is as simple as possible and of course I want the best rate that I can get. It shouldn’t take long to figure out and I’ll let you know how it all pans out.

I think that I have finally convinced my kid sister and her husband to move out of their apartment into one that is a little bit cheaper because all of the utilities are included, and that is a big savings. Right now they are paying about $200 a month for their electricity which is crazy since it is just a small 2 bedroom basement apartment that doesn’t even have a dishwasher or washer and dryer that are known for driving your electric bill right through the roof. They are extremely careful with what electricity that they use and right now they aren’t even running the air conditioner and that place is just a steaming down there. I don’t know how they can deal with that right now since we are experiencing such extreme heat this summer and it is only June for heaven’s sake, I can’t even imagine what we are in for come mid July and August!

So I’m hearing that they have submitted their application for this more affordable, but slightly smaller (just a tad bit) apartment that will enable them to hopefully keep them from dishing out all of their money each month to the Landlord, Cox Cable and Allegheny Power. Having a few bucks to spend on food and gas is always a plus.

A few years back I called all the credit card companies that I held cards for in my wallet and tried to get them to work with me and some how come up with a way for me to get a better deal that what I was currently stuck in. With money becoming more and more of an issue, we all have been told things that we can do in order to make things easier for us until our government gets us out of this economic nightmare that is literally ruining billions of people’s lives. These “tips” that are being thrown at us are basically the same “tips” over and over and over, with the first tip almost always being to contact and communicate with your creditors, which sounds easy enough, but it didn’t do a darned thing for me, nor any one else that I know that has made the effort to spend a good amount of time on the phone and the computer in order to get our creditors to budge.

I was hoping to put a dent in my credit card debt with some of the money that I got back from Uncle Sam. I did make a dent, just not as big as I was hoping for, other things kept popping up that I thought (at the time) I needed and deserved more than just sending it off to these ungrateful credit card companies that are eating me up alive. But………….I have decided to take some time on the computer and check out some of the balance transfer credit cards that are out there. I did find a good site all ready balancetransfers.com, that has a balance transfer calculator that I filled in, in less than one minute, where I found that I could possibly be saving over $400 a year just on the one VISA credit card that I have. That was an eye opener considering that my VISA is the one with the lowest balance as well as the lowest interest rate of all of the charge cards that I have.

So after seeing that I have bookmarked the site and will gather up my previous credit card bills and sit my butt down and see what numbers come up when I put in their information. But I wanted to enjoy my dinner while it is hot and take my hot bubble bath that I’ve been waiting for all day long and then get back to business, I don’t like numbers and dread the thought of doing all of this. But as it usually turns out, it will be quick and more simple than I thought and I’ll have it done in no time and I’ll be ready for action at that point!
