This popular checklist app for real estate agents on the go, and if you are a decent agent you are always on the go, is a real treat. It takes a special person, man or woman, and their mates, as well as their immediate family members to be be as flexible as possible, in all areas of life, for just about 24/7 for 365. I’ve met a few realtors here and there. They are very personable and do always seem to be off and running and hard to catch up with. I guess now a days with most of us have cell phones we are expected to be contacted right away by using just a few keystrokes on a quick and easy accessible keyboard.
I just had a flash back on the beepers that came out and grew in popularity in no time. If you had a beeper you were regarded as “well connected”. Funny how the whole beeper thing started out in the business world as a tool to keep in touch with employers and employees and how in a matter of no time flat everyone started getting, wearing and using a beeper. Back then there were car phones (or we called them mobile phones as well), but they were expensive and large and cumbersome to deal with. And then bada boom, bada bing cell phones came out and the whole world changed, right along with the ever growing use of the Internet.
All that brings me back to the goconnect app for realtor checklists that I was talking about. Ellen (my next door neighbor) is a real estate agent and she is a hoot and not really up on today’s technology! I couldn’t ask for a better friend/neighbor. I have had some pretty rotten neighbors in my time. As a matter of fact the neighbor on the right of our house and I don’t talk. We have had many issues with this old crazy man, but thank God for Ellen who lives on our left. She was showing me across the fence, which is were we spend a lot of time talking all the time, the realtor checklist app that she had just found and figured out how to use and benefit her needs and wants. She is very excited about the prospect of something available that she can actually figure out how to use and use it.
Ellen became a widow 9 years old and has a great out-look on life. She is a nice looking woman, for her age, and she is very encouraging and nurturing, and has a heart of gold. Ellen never had children but they always had several types of critters under their care. You never know what you will see when you go in her house, and her backyard is a beautiful, animal friendly, home to a variety of living creatures that she has rescued and taken care of. She is always looking for new homes for these animals. I fear she takes in way more than people take out.
The scott kay engagement rings that my friend and coworker Shannon and I have been looking are simply drop dead gorgeous. I wish that the Internet was available back in the day of my engagement and wedding planning. These tasks are never easy but the Internet can certainly make these chores more fun as well as giving you more options. Shannon has it made in comparison, but it is still nerve racking at times.
I really don’t know how we managed to do anything without the use of our computers, at home as well as at work. I know that it wasn’t all that long ago when we used to communicate, shop and pay bills the good old fashioned way. But that was back in the eighties, when you do the math it has only been a few decades ago that are lives changed forever because of computers.

The memo that we all received today at work, concerning this year’s “office party” broke it all down for everyone to read and learn from. We have all been
asked instructed with at least one task in order to share the load and to try and keep the cost as low as possible.
This year we will all be meeting at the local VFW on the Thursday night before Christmas, December 19th, at 6:00. I was asked to buy printed tablecloths with the company logo. Of course the company will reimburse me. They are always prompt at reimbursing any of us.
With this in mind I guess I need to get started. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find and order. The sooner they get here, the sooner I get reimbursed. I don’t need to
If anyone deserves a break in their lives it is certainly our military personnel who have gone above and beyond and put their lives on the line for us all back home in the land of the free and the home of the brave, right? Most of us know or are related to someone who has or is serving our country, so we know how hard it is for them in so many ways, so any assistance that they are entitled to is a good thing. The Post 911 GI Bill is designed to help them in many ways, one of them being their education.
My brother-in-law is planning on taking advantage of this Post 911 GI Bill and is looking into taking some classes online with the well known Ashworth College that has a huge selection of online courses at very affordable prices. So along with their low prices combined with the benefits offered with the Post 911 GI Bill he should be go to go in a few years with a degree that will help him get a better job when his time is up in the military.
He is looking forward to taking classes online, which will be better than having to attend regular classes that would interfere with his very busy schedule on and off the base. I’m so proud of him and wish him all the luck in world in this challenge that will forever change his and my sister’s lives forever. I can’t wait for graduation, I’ll be the first one to be there to show my support and love for this man who my sister has placed so much trust in the last couple of years.
You know how there are some people that are just plain out and out lucky. Lucky with cards, lucky with the ladies, lucky in love. Good luck isn’t something that radiates from me. I don’t even bother buying lottery tickets no matter how big the pot gets. To me it’s just like throwing my money right down into the toilet. Times are hard enough as it is.
My older brother on the other hand seems to have all the luck with just about anything that he gets his hands into. He was quite the bachelor around town for a good many a years. Now he is happily married to a gal that he went to high school with, along with two kids, two cars, a great career and a decent mortgage payment that allows him to live the lifestyle that he still does at this point. I don’t know all that many people that are still managing to hang on to their homes or their jobs, so he is really a lucky man.
He and his wife are scheduled to fly out to Las Vegas to stay at the aria las vegas resort and casino at citycenter before the 2013/2014 school year starts and life starts getting busy again for the whole family. They are leaving the kids at the folk’s house for their long Labor Day weekend play date that they are so excited about pulling off. My guess is that I’ll be stopping by that weekend to give my mother a rest from her grandchildren for a few hours. They can be a real hand full and my mother can only take so much these days.
