A close co worker of mine just received some devastating news about her brother. He has been experiencing some of the Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms that most of us are aware of but apparently he wasn’t aware of and has just been dealing with it for over a year now. He was finally convinced to see his doctor and he does have Multiple Sclerosis.

Since knowledge is power and the Internet is over flowing with information about most health issues she is researching all that she can find for the most recent Multiple Sclerosis News in order to learn what she can in order to help out her brother with his recent diagnosis. Some of us at work are looking around as well and trying to do what we can in her and her family’s time of need.

As with most health issues, exercise and diet play a key role in managing the illness so that is a good starting point. And she is all over him with that information.

Our computers and the Internet have come a long way in the last couple of decades. There are so many decisions to make when purchasing a computer, what brand, what system, what type of printer to get, etc…….Then once you get one you have to get it all set up and choose which web site hosting to use. There are tons of web hostings to consider. I personally like the fact that several of these are advertising that they are going green. I think that is just awesome and would like to pass the word around that they are out there in hopes that more people will choose them, since being green is the right thing to do these days.

I found a great web hosting rating and directory site at webhostinggeeks.com. That is were I found the listings of green web hosting. It caught my attention and I’m glad that I explored it and found what I did. They indicate that iPage is 100% wind powered, which is pretty cool, if you ask me. We all need to do all that we can to keep our mother earth is the best shape possible and recycling is just the tip of the ice berg.

Knowledge is power and the Internet is a powerful tool for today’s consumers that is being taken more seriously these days. When I moved here my car insurance premiums went up and I remember complaining to my insurance agent about the rate increase. He informed me that I had moved into a different “territory” which they believe deserve charging a larger premium for. Now how crazy is that?

There has been a ton of commercials pushing insurance these past couple of years. The Internet allows you to research low cost car insurance without all the phone calls involved like back in the last century. (I’ve always wanted to say that) By going online you can find money saving auto ins tips with sites that help you compare coverages and rates. It’s certainly the most practical way of shopping for your insurance needs.

I understand California has a lot of ways to help people that can’t afford auto insurance. I think that is pretty awesome. I wish more states would follow that trend. With all of the traffic issues that California has to deal with and their major budget problems I’m really surprised that they have programs as they do to help people.

I found an interesting website that deals with low cost insurance issues at onlineautoinsurance.com. There is a lot of good information to read, links to all kinds of information related to insurance needs and concerns. I even watched one of their low income ins video online promotions that was worth watching, that is on YouTube.com.

I’ve decided that I’m going to start shopping around for a better deal on my car insurance. I hate to leave my current agent though. I used to work for him years ago and he always takes such good care of me, but if he can’t get my rates down I’ve gotta find some one else to do the job for me and there is plenty to choose from out there these days folks!

I actually had to go to summer school one of those years before graduating to junior high. That really screwed up that summer for me and I started working extra hard after that so that I’d never have to do that again.

Back then we didn’t have the Internet to turn to. Now a days students can find tutoring on their computers, how cool is that? A handy dandy online Algebra solver would certainly come in handy for this kid back then when I finally got into High School. At this point in my life I depend on my calculator to get me through the day!

I understand that tutornext.com has online tutoring for reasonable prices and for just about every subject K-12 and college courses as well. Isn’t the Internet sweet?

You would have to be living under a rock some where in the desert not to know that being “Green” is the buzz word these days. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for it. My parents were from the 70′s (the hippie days) and were very much in tune with environmental issues. So they raised us kids to be in tune with Mother Earth as much as possible. Recycling has always been a big issue then and it still is. I drive people crazy with my recycling issues, but that’s OK. I just want my kids, my grandchildren and their kids to have trees and clean water and clean air to breath well after I’m dead and gone.

So I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to find that website hosting is doing what they can do in order to become as “Green” as possible. Web Hosting by FatCow is now powered by 100% wind energy. Isn’t that awesome? I understand that several other web site hostings are going green, so I wanted to put the word out to look for a website hosting that is participating in this type of change. Change can be good.

My closest cousin, who lives in Fort Worth, is considering having a home security system installed in her newly purchased home. There has been a rash of home break ins the last year and she is getting a bit nervous. We are all hearing how the declining economy is making people turn to desperate measures and robberies are a desperate measure for a lot of folks. Drug and alcohol abuse is on the rise due to the stress of this economic mess that our government has gotten us all into. We are all just a mess these days.

She has joined their local neighborhood watch and gotten to know some their neighbors a bit better. They have two large dogs that have been making them feel a bit better but the situation has declined so much that they are a bit leary with leaving it all up to the dogs. The neighborhood watch have a good relationship with the Fort Worth, PD and they have provided all the members with police security tips to review, and utilize which is a good idea. But she is still worried and in the market for a good quality but affordable home security system. She has reviewed the website of homesecurityteam.com which is the ADT Home Security System Authorized Dealers site. ADT is a repitable company and has some good packages to choose from. My cousin tells me that they have 130 years experience is the security business. There is something to be said about a company that has been around for that long.

Not too many people rely on their old rabbit ear antennas these days, most of us are used to subscribing from a cable or a satellite provider that enables us to receive numerous channels and much better reception due to their updated technologies. I remember growing up we heard about pay TV coming in the near future. The funny thing is that we envisioned having a coin box on top of the TV that we would have to put quarters into in order to watch TV. Much like the vibrating mattresses that we all fed coins into when sleeping in a motel back in the day. Boy did we get it all wrong and had no idea of tv pricing issues that we would have to deal with in the 21st century. We hadn’t even heard of debit cards back in those days for goodness sake.

These days is really pays to do your research about your TV options. With all of the Dish TV and direct satellite tv offers that are being put out there you really need to know about their products and packages before signing any contract. There is a TV war going on right now, providers are all about making you an offer that you can’t refuse, so the time is right to sign up or switch over to.

I’ve always have cable myself. My parents had cable and I just followed their lead, but I’ve been seeing some interesting promotions on TV about different providers and their offerings. So I plan on doing a bit of research myself and see what I can find is the best deal and best package for me and my needs and wants.

It’s that time of the year that the TV is blaring at us all of the “Back to School” sales that are going on right now. Some schools have started all ready, some start next week and then the schools like I used to attend are waiting until after Labor day to have the kids come back for the start of the 2010-2011 school year. We are all ready seeing school buses out and about, pretty soon the whole traffic pattern will change in the mornings and the afternoons for so many people.

I used to love the first day of school. It seemed to always rain on the first day of school. My best friend and I still joke about how it always rains on the first day of school. Her son went back to school (grade 9) on Aug 2nd and of course it rained a tradition tried and true!

I’d love to go back to school. One day I will enroll in some community college classes. The Internet will make a big difference in the way I will learn when I go back to school. I can go online and get Math help, Algebra help, actually any type of Homework help will be available to me. It makes me wonder what we did with out the Internet. One thing I know is that we spent a lot of time at the local library, which I’m sure is missing all of the folks staying at home on the Internet.
