Yet again, we decided to take one “final” trip to the St. Paul Como Park Zoo before the weather gets too cold to be outside. Of course, we say that exact same thing every weekend, so I doubt this will be the last you’ll hear of our zoological excursions!
I don’t think we could have picked a better day than today. The weather was exceptionally sunny, and a brisk Fall day was on tap. When we arrived at the zoo, Angelia, Emmett, Kylie, and me headed straight for the Polar Bear exhibit; definitely our favorite exhibit of them all! After a long gander at those burly creatures, we headed to take a peek at some of the animals of a “safari” variety including the zebras, lions, giraffes, and orangutans.
Believe it or not, no matter how many trips we take to this zoo, I promise you we never grow tired of the natural wonders you can find in your own backyard, so-to-speak.
Now, we’re home. As you might expect, we’re extremely tired and the thought of sleep – or a large cat nap – can’t come quick enough.
On a side note, I am able to report that we FINALLY remembered to set our home security alarm before we left this morning. Truly, this has been a day of accomplishments for the McGraw family!
