New Career Choice For Big Sister

Well I never thought that my eldest sister would be looking for Cardiovascular Technologist Jobs at this time and stage of her life. She is the oldest in the family, with me being the youngest, so there is a very large difference in age from me, so we have never had the chance to become very close. But I thought I knew her better than this, so it just goes to show you that you just never know when it comes to family members what they will come up with next.

Teen Moms

I have always enjoyed the TV show Teen Moms. I was sad to see the last episode of this year’s season the other night. I really think that this show (or at least I pray that it has) made a big impression on a lot of people, of all ages. Last night I caught the finale with Dr Drew, where he speaks with all of the teen moms, some of their mothers and some of the fathers of these babies that are thrown into a world of having a teen mom. Interesting fact that Dr Drew spewed out on us last night. One out of every ten baby that is born today is born to a teen mom, that is an alarming rate and I’m glad that this show and Dr Drew are trying to do something about that.

Fact or Fiction?

A friend sent me this last night, it’s one of those that you don’t know is fact or fiction, but it certainly is a curiosity.

During a private “fly-in” fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler and bait in the plane. And a bear smelled it. This is what he did to the plane.

The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic. He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME!!!

Enough On My Plate All Ready Thank You Very Much

It has been decided at work that I am to be put in charge of finding and purchasing of two of those enclosed bulletin boards to use at the office for reason reasons and usages. So I have been looking around on the Internet and have been surprised at how many of these enclosed cork bulletin boards are now available out there. So many choices, so little time, sigh. . . .

Not only am I now in charge of finding┬áthese enclosed fabric bulletin boards but I am going to have the responsibility of maintaining, decorating and keeping it up to date and current various postings. I’m not all that thrilled with this new responsibility, but since they had to let the receptionist go, due to cut backs, there has been a lot of re distributing of these types of duties and I’ve had about enough put on my plate all ready. I do believe I am being targeting since I am the only female in the whole office and that they think that I should be doing a lot of what the receptionist was doing and I just don’t think that it is fair or right.

I have always had the pleasure of  having flown a flag in every residence that I have lived at, usually the American Flag, but sometimes we will do a Holiday flag or even the Confederate flag of the South, that stirs the neighbors up at times. The flag that is barely flying right now in front of the house is in need of retirement badly. It has been so long since I have bought a flag, I had to think of where one would go to purchase one.

The answer of course is a flag store, but there is not a flag store at every street corner but then I remembered that I had seen at Walmart a selection of not only the seasonal/holiday variety but the true American flag, but I do not remember what the prices were and what quality of flag that it truly was for the price, what ever it may be. So I think that I will do some on-line shopping around and see what I can come up with when I Google “American Flags”, I do not want one that costs a fortune, but I do want a quality product for the money that I do pay with. We will see what I come up with.
