It is interesting to read all the posts that were posted yesterday and today all about the 5.8 earthquake that hit the east coast. What a scary situation to be in. I’m so glad that it didn’t do more bodily harm to more people. We should be all be counting our blessings and get busy preparing for the hurricane that is coming at us
I’m so glad to hear that my nephew Richard has finally decided that he needs more than just a high school diploma to get anywhere in life these days and that working at the mall isn’t going to be enough to support him in the manner that he has become accustomed to while living under his parents roof for the last 20 years.
Richard was over at my place yesterday, we were looking for engineering grants online when the earthquake hit here. After it was all over and done with and we made all the calls that we needed to make (although we couldn’t get through to many people due to the cell phones not working) we got back to business looking for scholarships and financial aid not only for him but for his best buddy who is looking for grants for physical therapy students for him to go back to school as well. They have been best friends since the 3rd grade and have both been working at the local mall together since the 11th grade which they both enjoy since the mall is the big gathering place for all the kids in town and a great place to meet girls. Unfortunately it isn’t bringing in the all mighty dollar that they are both needing to make in order to move from away from home. They really want to find an apartment to share together, something that they have been dreaming about for a long time and with the little bit of money that they are making at the mall isn’t bringing their dream a reality as fast as they thought it would.
Anyway, Richard and I did find a good website that looks promising and I thought I would pass it along here for others to check out. To get to it you only have to click here. It will take you to schoolscholarships.org website.
