I love these picture that my friend sent me last night. It seems that Abagail Alfano of Pine, Louisiana lives in a Hummingbird fly zone. As they migrated, about 20 of them were in her yard.Abagail has been studying hummingbirds daily so the small birds had gotten used to her standing by the feeder.
One morning Abagail put the water filled cup from the feeder in her hand. She says their touch is as light as a feather. (She also said, ‘if she had known her husband was taking pictures she would have put on makeup!) That sounds so much like me. My motto is always “No make-up, no picture taking”

It happens to the best of us at some point where we find ourselves short of money at the end of the month and I’m no different from anyone else. My electric bill is due tomorrow and this month it is a whopper. Usually when I need some extra cash to keep me going for a week or two I can turn to a few of my immediate family members, this is one good thing about coming from a big family! But with times being as tough as they have been for the past several years with no quick fix available a lot of my family are feeling the pinch as well and I really hate to ask any of them right now for a quick loan right now. My kid sister just purchased her first laptop over the weekend with some of the money that she got back from her tax refund. Since neither one of us like to cook and both of us love going out to eat we decided to go to our local Golden Corral and pig out on their food which is always inexpensive and they always have a great variety to choose from in their various buffet stands. It was great spending the day with my kid sister. One day I will have to quite calling her my kid sister, she isn’t a kid anymore by any means, but I don’t think I’ll be able to any time soon, we are creatures of habit after all and if that is my worst habit then I guess I’m one lucky son on a gun, right?
I thought that I would take a moment and explain why you, my reader(s) see a post from time to time that isn’t written by me. I have a few friends, family members and co-workers that are expressing an interest in starting their own blogs but are too gun shy to learn on their own. So I have suggested and offered them a chance to try their hands on writing something on my blog just for the experience and for some hand’s on learning exposure, which by the way seems to be working out for many of them that now have their own blogs up and running!
