One of the shows that I enjoy watching, when I’m in the mood is on TLC called The Cake Boss. This guy makes the most unbelievable cakes for people all over the world. It is a family run business operating since 1910 in New Jersey and for some reason they just make me laugh and drool at all of the goodies that they hand make each and every day at their ever growing bakery.
So when my friend sent me an email with photos of edible cakes made by a lady in Russia I just had to take a look and see how they compare with The Cake Boss. I’m surprised to see that she is most definitely right up there with him and I wanted to post a few of the ones that really tickled me to see. Wish I had the time and the patience to post them all, they are really quite good and completely edible through and through.

We are so happy to find that our hard work has paid off, complaining to the city about the horrible Apartment Mailboxes that are in such bad shape in the low income apartments that are located on the street behind ours. These apartments need a lot of help and all we can do is keep trying, one step at a time. This has been a big step as far as I’m concerned. There is no need to have people’s mail in old decrepit Commercial Mailboxes that are falling apart and so badly broken that their mail ends up strewn all over the hallway for everyone to have to walk on or walk over, or even worse, take from the rightful owner. That is just crazy and asking for big trouble for so many people that deserve to be treated as such.
So after a couple of City Council meetings and tons of letters we are glad to see them installing some nice CBU Mailboxes over there last week. I’m sure that the slum lord that owns and runs the place isn’t happy about dishing out some of his millions of dollars that he makes each year on his rentals, for brand new Cluster Mailboxes, but we really aren’t concerned with his finances at this point, since he is always seen driving around town in a nice expensive brand new car every year. My God, how some people sleep at night is beyond me!
Next we are going to work on the trash and garbage problem, which will help with the roach infestation that is over whelming in those nasty old buildings that little babies, little kids and whole families are trying to live in and make a life for themselves.
The news has featured a lot of big businesses that are closing due to this bad economy. I don’t think anyone expected the recession to last over 3 years and still no end in sight.
I was sad to see all the Hollywood Video and Blockbuster Video stores close. But now they are talking about the bookstores closing. The bookstores are blaming both Amazon and the new electronic readers, like Kindle.
I don’t know anyone who has a Kindle. I guess if the bookstores are all closing we will have no choice but to go buy a Kindle so we can still read.
There was a song in the 80′s about a lot of channels on TV but nothing on. I so very much relate to that song tonight. I have flipped through all the channels, looked at the cable guide, and even searched the free On-Demand movies. There is just nothing that captures my interest at all! I think I will drive up to Redbox and see if there is anything for rent that sounds good tonight.
Looking around online just a bit learning some of places in the surrounding over in the U.K. that a group of the family is planning on visiting in the near future, if we can work it all out. I have to say that Cardiff looks pretty cool. I’d love to visit the Cardiff Castle that was built by the Romans, who were the first people to settle the area owing to its strategic location at the centre of three river systems, set up their original wooden fortification in AD 55 high atop the hill overlooking Cardiff.
This castle has over 2,000 years of history that they are willing to share with the public, with tons of events for everyone who visits and tours the castle and it’s grounds.

I just checked the weather there, it is sunny and in the 50′s, pretty much the same as here!
